Some of you may be contemplating a purchase of a MacBook laptop computer to join our Voluntary Learning with Laptops Program, or, you may wish to replace an iBook that your child has previously used in the program with a new MacBook. The platform supported at school is the Apple MacBook, or iBook.

Students experiencing trouble with their computer can take their laptops to the Apple store for help. A fee may apply for more serious issues. If the computer needs to be re-imaged, the Apple Store charges a $50 fee. 

Current 5th grade students at Chaparral or Oso Grande will not need a new image but will need to have their computer reconfigured when they come to middle school.

The Apple Store offers discounts for families with children at Ladera Ranch schools. Simply bring your child’s school ID to receive the special offers.
